The Rundown Slam: WWE Money in the Bank 2018

It wasn't a moneyball shot. In fact, WWE's latest pay-per-view event was oftentimes a blunder than a spectacle as of late.

Why not? We have seen a predictable turn of events here: obviously, Brraun Strowman wound up being the Monster in the Bank, while Alexa Bliss has stolen the show as she became the RAW Women’s Champion once again–after cashing in her MITB briefcase which she won earlier that night. And that spoiled Ronda Rousey's impressive debut as a singles wrestler.

Still, you have to love how the women's MITB match has been really a match of the night candidate here. Every competing woman had their own minutes of fame, much way beyond than their male counterparts. It just so happened that Little Miss Bliss was the lady on top at the end of this gruelling contest.

And probably, the only thing that has been a shocker here is when Kevin Owens was on the losing end of a throwdown by Braun Strowman off the ladder.

Of course, he is the poised de facto babyface for a while since the overbooked-slash-ill-written character of Roman Reigns has been shoved down to Jinder Mahal levels.

With Seth Rollins winning in a somewhat roll-up fashion didn't hurt the overall quality of this Intercontinental Championship match. This proved that Elias can hang around one of the company's top stars right now. No doubt this busker is a hot commodity within a few months.

AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura's latest clash was an instant classic. What else is actually new there? No matter how dragging their feud looks, the storytelling on the matches itself has been a stellar one. Well, too bad, Nakamura wound up in just another bridesmaid finish, being winless in all four or five of his WWE Championship duels in just 11 months.

I think he needs to take a step back and be dominant in the midcard scene.

But all in all, the stacked program filled with a ton of matches in FOUR FREAKING HOURS is still, sickening. Hell, why did we even have Sami Zayn vs. Bobby Lashley here?

The Verdict: 7.1
