Just My Opinion: Give the Divas a Chance!

3/6/2015 10:34:59 AM

Time seems to be an issue right now in the recent showings of WWE.

How on earth, considering they owned a reality show right?

But that’s another thing – and it’s "off-tangent" (as Smark Gilas-Pilipinas podcast host Stan Sy says). Let’s put this in general: Who cares about observing the life of these female wrestlers while in fact most of the fans are after the matches itself, and not the pre and post events at all?

Just to realized that we’re human, after all? Again, that’s heck of an out-of-bounds argument.

Last week on Monday Night RAW, Paige entered the squared circle right before the commercial break, only to get the momentum temporarily halted as the commentators segued to a Sting promo video, and then the match get started only to have its finished a mere seconds later. How sick is that?

No wonder why #GiveDivasAChance became a hotcake then during the evening. The McMahons actually responded with their respective statements.

“We hear you. Keep watching,” as per Chairman’s repsonse. Say, Vince is actually manning over all the WWE shows despite his non-appearances in the stage itself. Though there were times he was barely lambasted for some happenings which the audience expressed their disdain. On the flipside, this is what you called “feedback,” and sometimes, negative reactions were better than hearing none at all.

But then, the former dominator AJ Lee fired back at the boss; and it seems the shots fired hit a backlash over the internet.

Say, is the employee sounded disrespectful to her superior – who, by the way, is the WWE’s Chief Brand Officer off-cam, and the principal owner in script?

It seems, actually. Why on earth would you put that dirty laundry to the public? Say, is this has something to do with that “politics?”; Think about it, considering AJ Lee’s husband in real life is CM Punk, WWE’s former prized star who lashed the promotion a few months ago over several issues concerning his well-being.

But timing is everything? A few minutes of match over a program consists of let’s say 50-165 minutes in running time (minus the commercial break)? It’s like Cena’s mic segment would last longer than any of them. (Why the hell did I make such comparison? Since Cena’s the ultimate top guy of the WWE at present, the Divas have their own in 3-4 characters. Fair enough?)

Besides, the Divas have a deep roster, but only few notables would get booked to suit up. Sexist as it seems? Or let’s say... unfair?

Maybe, in the superficial point of view, the Bellas, Paige, and even AJ was that “championship material” to reign supreme as performers. But, come on. IWC, at this point, was right.

Yes, give these ladies a chance. Get these bookers and creative people work in time management, eh?
