In time for the Linggo ng Musikang Pilipino, pop-rock band We Are Imaginary is celebrating its 10th year in the music industry.
First known to many as Your Imaginary Friends, the quartet of brothers Ahmad and Khalid Tanji, Vhall Bugtong, and Raphael Rubio has been one of the notable names in the indie shores since 2008, especially when Silence Is A Villain was released a few years later.
But with the name change, We Are Imaginary has been more resounding by being part of the competing bands of the Jack Daniel's Future Legends program in 2016. The four-piece band also released a much-awaited album called Death To Romanticism during that year. The record spawned hit tracks and music videos such Sunny Where You Are, Pencil Me In, and A Good Kind Of Sad. WAI is also part of the roster of talents under independent label Wide Eyed Records Manila.
And as they reach its first full-decade of existence, the band penned a new – and first-ever Filipino song titled “Dekada.” Its music video was made possible by Happynest Creations, the same production group behind the MV for A Good Kind Of Sad released in summer of 2017, led by director Jemimah Dadula.
The music video is set to launch during this anniversary gig produced by OPM – Organisasyon ng mga Pilipinong Mang-aawit and National Commission for Culture and The Arts, together with Shoplifters United productions and Wide Eyed Records Manila.

Three other bands are also scheduled to perform during this event, namely: Loop, Pedicab, and The Strange Creatures.
We Are Imaginary's 10th Year Celebration party will be held on Saturday, 28 July 2018, 9:00 PM, at Arkipelago 7107 Restaurant and Lounge in El Pueblo Real de Manila, Ortigas Center, Pasig City. The event is co-presented by MTVph, JLE Music, and Under The Radar.
Entrance is priced at 300 pesos and comes with one free drink. Also, since this event is part of the series of events under the Linggo ng Musikang Pilipino, a special rate of 500 pesos gets anyone an all-access pass to all 22 stages.
