The Pre-Take: WWE WrestleMania 33 – WWE Championship Match

04/03/2017 01:13:39 AM

Probably, after Royal Rumble we have already seen in our minds that the 16-time champ John Cena will be defending the WWE Championship against Rumble winner Randy Orton; a clash for the ages – and we mean in both good and bad notes.

However, Cena appears to be a transition champ no matter how everyone contest the fact of him matching Ric Flair's historical titular records. And Bray Wyatt just earned his pinnacle success at the Elimination Chamber by dethroning Cena and defeating four other men to claim the WWE title.

It was all-mind games since then, leading to eventual implosion of The Wyatt Family thanks to Orton. And this time, it was done with mere emphatis and drama.

This apparently, lead to confusion. Is Orton a face here? Or is Bray being set for a face turn. They had excellent promos, only to end up as a lackluster on SmackDown Live's pre-Mania/go-home episode.

Too much mind games, I must say. This tussle should make Orton earn another World title in his list of accolades. The question: how will he execute those RKOs out of nowhere? And moreover, could he really unleash his finishing punt kick after a long time. Heck, we all know he's been teasing that move since his heel turn (as member of The Authority) til now.

Seeing Bray retain this title means it might go nowhere. That said, he might be another case of transitional champion either.
