Lilystars Records brings the holiday cheers in new compilation album, In Reverie

12/20/2020 09:32:24 PM

Even in this toughest time, Lilystars Records aims to bring the festive warmth of Christmas to its music listeners with the release of IN REVERIE, A Lilystars Christmas Compilation.

Clem Castro, the CEO of Lilystars Records, said the compilation release is more than just a reflection of longing, hope, and love. Also, the tracks inside of the album also indirectly express the current pandemic situation.
“It’s a call to keep our spirits alive no matter what we are facing. There are also tracks about celebration, optimism, loneliness and even dismay,” said Castro. “We can’t say if this release will have an impact for those who are having a difficult time with the pandemic, but we are hoping it does make a difference. This serves as our gift to music fans this holiday season.”
This record comprises 11 tracks from its roster of talents, each offering an alternative listening experience for discerning music fans who want their Christmas jams a little bit on the obscure side through its Hallmark-inspired melodies, vibrant arrangements, and intimate songwriting.

While the album was made after the Philippine-based indie music label made a call for submissions, Castro admits there was no selection process for making this possible.

“We have high regard with the capacity of our artists and their contribution exceeded our expectations. We commend their commitment to producing the tracks on their own, either recording at home or with help of friends or people they work with to bring life to their record,” said Castro, who also fronts for the alt-pop band Orange & Lemons.
