Visiting the Science Centrum

12/15/2014 5:17:52 PM

It was a sunny day at the Metro despite numerous weather reports about typhoon Habagat (or locally known as Ruby) when yours truly, along with other invited bloggers, went to the nearby Riverbanks Center as the Marikina City’s premier shopping destination introduced us to their sets of different museums located along the vicinity.

Last of the four stops for the morning was the Riverbanks’ truly own Science Centrum.

Philippine Science Centrum as its formal call name, the center was the premier hands-on learning venue recognized by various government agencies such as the Department of Education (DepEd), Department if Science and Technology (DOST), and the Department of Tourism (DOT). It has 11 sections featuring various scientific fields, namely, Lights, Bodyworks, Mathematics, Electricity & Magnetism, Water, Vision and Perception, Infectious Diseases, Earth Science, Space, Kids’ World and Mechanics.

Also, the science ccentrum offers various educational activities where both kids and even adults will surely like and at the same time, learn, in accordance with the K to 12 Educational Curriculum System.

In addition, PSC can be the main place for some school and corporate related events such as educational field tour, trainings and even birthday parties.

As I check on the museum and their galleries, I can utter thoughts of excitement and at the same time. I think I can spend a whole day unleashing the kid in me. Considering this: I am a sucker for museums when I was a kid. I’ve been dying to visit some of them way back then.

I am definitely recommending the Philippine Science Centrum for everyone. If you want to explore more on the world of science, on how amazing your shadows can be imprinted in the dark, on how gravity dictates your move, how electricity can rock you... it does matter a lot. Feel free to visit them.

Riverbanks seems to be the counterpart of Mandaluyong's Greenfield District.

    -You know me well. :)
