The Scene Around: Blogapalooza Charting The Uncharted Horizons 2.0

11/05/2016 09:11:42 PM

After five years of being successful, the second installment of this year's Blogapalooza lived up to their title – literally, they have shown horizons in charting the uncharted this past Saturday, 5 November 2016, at the Novotel Araneta Center in Cubao, Quezon City.

The day was filled by enriching talks, depicting the How-Tos on being an effective influencer through blogging and social media.

Also, hundreds of bloggers witnessed the indoor-outdoor event setting concept. That is somewhat a mixed feedback if you're gonna ask me. While it's enjoyable to check out various business stalls from left to right, the scorching heat during the daytime hours might discouraged some from doing so. But don't get me wrong: despite the hot Saturday late morning, noon and afternoon, it was a bit windy out there. That at least helped people – bloggers and stall owners alike.

It was always a good sight to witness a panel discussion with the various group of bloggers from around the archipelago; simply proving that blogging here in the Philippines isn't just Manila-centric. However, the schedule for the bog reveal took a bit longer than usual.

Still it's worth the wait. From a simple blogging event that seemingly been a subordinate to When In Manila, Blogapalooza stood on its own; first, by establishing themselves as a separate entity (with the corporate name Blogapalooza, Inc.); and second, when they launched a service called BUZZIN, wherein everyone who's an influencer could sign up for an account and help numerous brands in their respective camapigns.

That being said, Blogapalooza 2016 Horizons 2.0 proved one thing: they just grew up one harder. Honestly, more than I expect from their showing six months ago. Yes, they've gone diversed. Yes, they decide to make it bi-annual this time than being annual from 2011 to 2015. And it may appeared to be small at first, but really, Blogapalooza just evolved in such manner as perceived by its establishers.

Good job for that, Ace Gapuz and your hardworking crew!
