Upcoming: PWR LIVE: RE5PETO

06/18/2018 05:54:35 PM

Just a month after its biggest spectacle called Wrevolution X, Philippine Wrestling Revolution is kicking off its 5th year with a return to Mandaluyong City for its LIVE event featuring title defenses and a multi-man tournament for its contenders. The country's premier wrestling promotion also announced the newest paying method to get tickets.

PWR LIVE: RE5PETO is headlined by the promotion's first-ever THREE STAGES OF DEATH Match between PHX Champion Ken Warren and Mike Madrigal. The Walking Death invoked his rematch clause after losing the belt at the 2018 Path of Gold/the Social Media Sinister during the Wrevolution X, in a 2-out-of-3 falls styled match with each stage having its own unique distinction:

Stage 1 is going to be a STANDARD SINGLES MATCH wherein the only way to win is either by pinfall, count-out, or submission. The winner of this stage will earn a point and inches his way to the next stage.

Stage 2 will feature NO DISQUALIFICATION (DQs) and definitely no count-outs. The only way to win is by pinfall or submission. Contestants can get crafty and creative with how they will inflict pain on each other. And take note: should one of them take gets a consecutive point to complete the 2-out-of-3 falls stipulation, the match ends here and so he wins the PHX Championship.

The clincher will be A LAST MAN STANDING match, and it will take place if both competitors get one fall or submission each after the first two stages. The only way to win this stage is for one to inflict so much pain on his opponent that he is unable to get up before the official’s 10-count. The winner of this stipulated match will be crowned the PHX Champion.

Who will survive these three stages of death: Ken Warren or Mike Madrigal?

PWR RE5PETO will also feature Ralph Imabasyahi and Zayden Trudeau for the PWR Championship. Both men have fantastic showings at PWR's flagship event.

Trudeau defeated "The Senyorito" Jake de Leon in Wrevolution X's most-talked about match; an indeed classic, according to many of PWR's faithful. On the other hand, Imabayashi has retained the PWR Title in a shocking fashion, with previous opponent Miguel Rosales being sent to retirement as the stipulation of the bout.

This is another PWR Championship Match that aims to be the talk of the town for years to come.

Will we be seeing a new Kampeon ng Pilipinas at the end of this match?

Meanwhile, eight people will be involved in four singles matches which are set to determine the inaugural phase of the PWR Championship #1 Contender's Tournament.

The first match-up features The Senyorito Jake De Leon versus All Out War Champion Alexander Belmonte III. Can the Warlord keep up with his momentum after claiming his first belt as a singles competitor, or will Mr. Philippine Wrestling takes a step ahead towards his quest to become the first-ever 3-time PWR Champ?

The second contest will see Main Max taking on the current PWR Team Champion Crystal. Will the Queen gets passed this former PHX Champion?

Third bout in this tournament will be current PWR Tag Team Champion John Sebastian versus The Apocalypse, in a seemingly battle of contrast. Can "The Wrestling Lord and Savior"/former PWR champion himself fend off the inaugural All Out War champ?

Completing the cast is another ex-PWR vs. ex-AOW titlists Chris Panzer and Vlad Sinnsyk. Who among these two gets at least another chance for the shot at PWR's most-coveted prize?

The semi-finals of the PWR Championship #1 Contender’s Tournament will take place at the live show following PWR LIVE: RE5PETO.

While the current-tag team holders are set in action during this PWR LIVE event, a battle royal is set to determine their top contenders. Entering the PWR Tag Team #1 Contenders Battle Royal are the following: The Naughty Boys (Trian Dela Torre and Evan Carleaux), Punk Dolls (Martivo and Robynn), The YOLO Twins (Yohan Ollores and Logan Ollores), Kakaibros (Kh3ndrick and Mh4ckie), and the team fo McKata and Bad Cruz.

Plus, a six-man tag scuffle will take place between the team of Dax Xaviera, QUATRO, and SANDATA, and the trio of Bolt, Vintendo, and Jan Evander, PwD.

And after a stellar classic showing with Chris Panzer last outing, Rederick Mahaba will also be in action during this PWR LIVE gig. Who among the PWR roster will face The King of Schlong Style?
