Hary Styles "lights up" with the ground-breaking sophomore album called Fine Line

12/15/2019 10:47:57 PM

Christmas came early for the fans of this former One Direction star as Harry Styles as he released his sophomore album last Friday.

Harry Styles' recently-released record is called "Fine Line." It comprises of 12 tracks, including previously-released tracks, Lights Up, and Watermelon Sugar, as well as the most-buzzed current single, Adore You. This project saw the British pop star reunite with producers Jeff Bhasker, Tyler Johnson, and Kid Harpoon, who refined the overall sound of his debut album.

Upon making the Fine Line, Styles shared the journey to his more honest and vulnerable side of the songwriting process.

“For me, it doesn’t mean I’ll sit down and be like, ‘This is what I have for dinner, and this is where I eat every day, and this is what I do before I go to bed,” Styles said in a recent Rolling Stone interview. “But I will tell you that I can be really pathetic when I’m jealous. Feeling happier than I’ve ever been, sadder than I’ve ever been, feeling sorry for myself, being mad at myself, being petty and pitiful — it feels really different to share that.”

Fans may have been clamoring on Styles' record for too long. International music critics, yet, hailed Styles' recent work. NME praised the record for embracing the nostalgic sound of his previous self-titled record and combining it with “soaring pop sensibilities.” British bi-monthly magazine i-D called it “another confident exercise in Harry Styles’ ongoing genre cross-over.” DIY Mag dug deeper into the gripping nature of his songwriting, proclaiming that it is a “compelling document of an artist coming to life.”

Harry Styles' latest album, Fine Line,  is distributed on digital platforms worldwide by Sony Music.

In related news, Harry Styles is preparing for his upcoming 2020 world tour. Billed as “Love on Tour,” this series of concerts will promote the release of Fine Line.
