Aside from launching new PC products, Lenovo has just introduced its new gadgets to the Philippine market. A huge part of this is the re-entering in the smartphone market in the Philippines through the launching of its new phones.

In a massive launching party held last 26 May 2020, the global tech and innovation leader formally introduced its three new offerings – Lenovo K5 Play, Lenovo K5 Pro, and the Lenovo S5 Pro. Joining them in leading the new batch is the range of smart home devices, including a robot vacuum cleaner, a smart home hub connected to Google Assistant, and a 2-in-1 tablet hybrid. These devices possess artificial intelligence and better connectivity, aiming to bolster everyday experience as they provide users with ease and boundless opportunities to do more.

“Smarter technology can solve problems, create opportunities, and ultimately transform the way we all live. Bringing our expertise as the world’s leading PC provider into our new smartphone and smart home technology solutions, we are able to give customers the ability to experience the world in a more intuitive, immersive way by providing end-to-end solutions across the entire customer journey. Our new smartphones bring people closer with integrated AI, powerful mobile processors, intuitive camera setups, and advanced biometric security at a lower price point. Ultimately, these devices and accessories will help create a more inclusive, trustworthy, and sustainable digital society for everyone,” said Lenovo Philippines President and General Manager Michael Ngan.

The three new Lenovo smartphones (Lenovo K5 Play, Lenovo K5 Pro, and the Lenovo S5 Pro) promises to offer value for money combined with advanced features such as multiple camera setups and advanced chipsets.

“We want to offer a model for every type of user. Expect our new smartphones to carry the ThinkPad DNA with the same technology found in our PC devices, including some attributes such as enhanced security and power,” added Ngan.

Being the playful half of the K5 series, the Lenovo K5 Play has a 5.7-inch IPS LCD screen, with a resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels. Powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 430 Octa-core chipset, with up to 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, this phone sports a dual rear camera setup with 13MP F/2.2 + 2MP shooting capability and an 8MP F/2.0 front camera.

Expect no drop in video quality when it comes to shooting as both front and rear cameras carry the same 16MP + 5MP camera setup, with additional flash in the front. Adding to that is the USB Type-C connectivity, a rear-mounted fingerprint reader for additional security when logging in, and a 4050 mAh battery that has 18W QuickCharge 3.0 support for faster recharging.

The Lenovo Smart Tab M8, M10 HD, and M10 FHD Plus function as smart home hubs through Google Assistant, which allows the devices to control parts of a smart home such as lights and outlets. The three new devices can also perform tasks through voice commands, even when hooked up to its hard-bundled Smart Charging Station (worth PHP 2,995) that comes free with every purchase. The tablets all come with dual front-facing speakers and dual microphones powered by Dolby Atmos which delivers all-flowing and clear audio. For added connectivity purposes, both the M10 HD and M10 FHD Plus have been equipped with USB Type-C 2.0 ports. These three devices are supported by Bluetooth 5.0 technology that made them capable of playback sound at farther ranges and transmits it roughly as fast as compared to devices with Bluetooth 4.2 support. With an ergonomic and comfortable design, the devices are also capable of playing for long hours, with the HT28 TWS Buds able to last six hours of playtime. The same buds are also waterproof, making them an ideal accessory for the outdoors as they remove worries of water damage. The HE08 Neckband Headset is priced at PHP 1,495; while HD 100 Wireless Headset for PHP1,995; and HT28 TWS Buds for PHP 2,495 as its starting price.

The global and tech innovator also has a smartwatch of their own. The Lenovo Smartwatch S2 is its Nordic 5283 processor which lets them track sleep performance and outdoor movement. Its sensors also allow it to measure motion speed and heart rate, and through its Sports Mode, this device becomes a handy tool during workouts. Furthermore, the smartwatch is able to withstand day-to-day usage with its zinc alloy frame, tempered glass display, and 3ATM water resistance. It is priced at PHP 2995.

Capping the batch of the new Lenovo smart products is the  Lenovo 14,000mAh USB-C Laptop Powerbank which has 14,000mAh, suitable for people who need uninterruptible power anytime, anywhere. This portable powerhouse has the ability to provide 48 Wh battery life to mobile workstations. The device’s two integrated USB-A ports and one USB-C port with PD 3.0 support also make it an all-around charging station for both phones and laptops.

The new Lenovo products will be available in Lenovo partner stores nationwide and online, or through the Lenovo Mobile Flagship store on Lazada.
