SYKES celebrates this year's customer service week with dedication to its frontliners

Multinational BPO firm SYKES Philippines has recetly joined   the global celebration of the Customer Service Week through a live online concert as its way of showing appreciation to its dedicated employees. Established with the objective on recognizing valuable contributions of customer service employees across the world, CS week usually takes place every October

This year's event banked on is theme “Dream Team,” which emphasize teamwork as a very vital element in providing outstanding customer service. For SYKES, its Dream Team is the key to a quick and successful transition tothe new work arrangements implemented to observe necessary health protocols – something that is mostly emphasized by a lot of names and industries in today. Spekaing of which, the recently-concluded edition of CS Week at SYKES has  gone fully digital with its offices in Manila and Cebu organizing  exciting virtual activities and promos that catered to both on-site and work-at-home employees.

To better involve SYKESers in the week-long celebration, the company has strengthened its social media presence to engage more employees. They held the Dream Team photo contest, where the group with the best team photo won a cash prize of Php5,000. SYKES also created its very own Facebook profile frame and Facebook filter, as well as its own Instagram quiz filter, wherein a lucky SYKESer who showed off the SYKES Dream Team spirit won a cash prize of Php3,000.

Also part of thos festivity is the Dream Team facebook live event hosted by  VJ Ai dela Cruz, with moving performances by OPM icon Ebe Dancel and OPM band I Belong to the Zoo.To make it more fun for viewers throughout the stream, the event involved a Watch and Win Promo wherein two winners (one from SYKES Manila and one from SYKES Cebu) each bagged a cash prize of Php 25,000. Employees working on-site also got surprise treats.

We have been celebrating Customer Service Week since 2016, and every year, we level up our festivities as a way of honoring the hard work of all our employees. This year, our entire workforce has faced tough challenges due to the current situation, yet was still able to strive for excellence and deliver well through teamwork and dedication to their jobs. I can proudly say that our workforce truly is the Dream Team. Though we had to do it behind our computers, it is a well-deserved and much-needed celebration for our hardworking workforce,” said Cecile May Venancio, Senior Director, Branding & Communications, APAC.
This year's CS Week celebration is aimed as a tribute to BPO employees, one of the economic front liners of today. It is said that the Business Processing and Outsourcing industry has overcome struglles brought by the pandemic which led to suddent shifting of work operations – predominatly to work-at-home setup.

Prior to this edition, SYKES  Cebu organized an online concert that is open to the public in salute to the collective effort of SYKESers and other BPO front liners during the pandemic. The musical spectacle was hosted by actor-DJ Dino Imperial and featured performances by rock abnd Itchyworms and singer-songwriter Daniel Omba; with virtual contests such as trivia games, SYKES Signing Bee, and Watch & Win Promo taking place on the side. 

In the comments section of the live event, SYKESers expressed their gratitude and appreciation towards the company and its leaders. They were especially thankful for the management’s efforts in providing an excellent working environment and for holding an event that employees can enjoy during the pandemic.
