The Scene Around: Neighborhood Sessions

10/11/1604:18:04 PM

Cow and Chicken Grill staged a Thursday gig to cap September 2016, and it resulted into some sorts of a rocking welcome.

There were six performers in the restaurant's first ever Neighborhood Sessions, and it got Magic 89.9 as its media sponsor, with several prizes such as RBO tickets and stickers as giveaways.

Yours truly, though, managed to catch the second half of the evening since I came off from another blogging gig up north. From there, Mellow Submarine, BennyBunnyBand and Demi were the remaning musicians scheduled to play.

I kinda love how the setting turned out to be. Cow & Chicken was located at the third floor of the Gastropub in United Street, Brgy. Kapitolyo, Pasig City; with a sports bar placed adjacent to them. The seats from both stalls were packed, and they looked sophisticated without the aid of being obvious as several hotties used to dine there.

But let's not go through there. (Quit stalking!)

It was a chill way to cap a Thursday evening, with the reggae-acoustic crew playing the stretch. The kuneho rock trio came next, and even in just the lightness, Benny, Jhenico and Ess still rocked the entire Cow & Chicken as if it's a regular BennyBunnyBand outing.

And Demi in the nightcap was just the right thing. Hey, it's been months since the last time I catch them.

With the packed crowd at the top of Gastropub, it's no question: Neighborhood Sessions was a success. Looking forward to the second one!
