PWR stages its biggest show "Homecoming" this Saturday!

10/10/2019 11:51:07 PM

The year 2019 saw the Philippine wrestling scene peak close to mainstream consciousness. We have seen one promotion putting up shows at malls with their 'masa' brand approach. Another is the fact that September had a huge explosive weekend of shows, thanks to WWE's recent Manila staging. That's besides the fact of seeing the legendary “Japanese Buzzsaw” Tajiri, and other top-tier stars (regional and even worldwide) such as Riho, Ho Ho Lun, The Shark, Foundation, and The Man Bros.

But the fun does not stop there. The country's premier wrestling promotion will hold its biggest show to date – a special Homecoming, I must say.

It will be a Saturday night primetime wrestling affair at ABS-CBN Vertis Tent as Philippine Wrestling Revolution's special event features a series of Philippines-versus-the World matches – with one of them involving TJ Perkins.

Despite his status as a stapled Fil-International star, Perkins' name became more prominent after winning the inaugural WWE Cruiserweight Championship three years ago. In his first match in this land soil, TJP will face Mr. Philippine Wrestling, Jake De Leon, in the main event of PWR Homecoming.

Three months came so fast – Saturday is set for fight night.

Aside from the clash of spear-headers, Ring Of Honor's Jeff Cobb will challenge MSG's Chris Panzer and the current Kampeon ng Pilipinas QUATRO for the PWR Championship in a triple threat match. Plus, “Beautiful” Billy Suede is set to challenge “The Golden Boy” Chino Guinto for the PHX Championship.

Expect a stacked card ahead that features a number of 1-on-1 matches, a PWR Tag Team Championship match, and a fatal-4-way match.

Tickets are still available -- just except for the meet-and-greet.
