Nicole Asensio is set to release another new song as a testament to how she rolls since the past year.

Marking her fourth work since lockdown, this multi-hyphenated singer is on the roll with See Through as her fourth release this coming Friday. This new song features Blue Hamilton, the Grammy-nominated multi-platinum American producer known for his works with the likes of Justin Bieber and Robin Thicke; as well as being the co-songwriter of Dianne Warren.

This collaboration started after a rare-timed yet significant interaction on Instagram.
“It all happened so quickly—from Instagram comments to video calls to recording... and half the time I was like a child who had just met one of her heroes, pinching myself and revisiting the fire that started this entire collaboration wondering if this was actually happening,” The critically-acclaimed Nicole Asensio said of Blue Hamilton. “I was thrilled but I was also nervous,  I wanted to do things right. Thankfully, Blue was so gracious and humble and such a force of positivity through the process.”
Nicole's new song drives through this singer-songwriter's experience in the past and the path to recovery.
“It was because of these conversations with Blue that I started to write more songs about matters of my heart.”
Blue, on the other hand, expressed all the fun he had during this collaboration.
“Working with Nicole on “See Through” was fun because the process took us both to places we don’t typically spend a  lot of time exploring, musically,” said the multi-faceted musician who did all the instrumental work for this track. “This song is as organic and raw as it gets with simple bass and guitars leading the way. Nicole was so humble as to allow me to propose some other ways to express herself melodically, stylistically, and lyrically.

Following the success of its production with Blue's team, Nicole quickly worked into pre-production for the music video – with this time, teaming up with Filipino director Jason Tan, whom she also worked for an online concert “Hinahanap hanap Kita Manila.”

Videographed inside Nicole's own house with a modestly sized crew, the visual accompaniment gives a glimpse into the character’s clandestine moments recovering from a failed relationship. It also showcases the creations of her friends Patricia Santos and Swim Lourdes as the song's chorus is heard through the song's simple-yet-brutally-honest rawness.
“You remain in every little thing /// In light and dark /// In love and pain.”

See Through is Nicole Asensio's single since releasing Silong, Poblacion, and Love Me Or Don't, plus the yuletide track See You This Christmas. That, of course, comes on top of her Quarantines series on YouTube, as well as her cameo in the dramatic series called Afterlife with noted film and TV stars Ms. Eula Valdez and Jett Pangan. Safe to say that the Schizoprano singer has been on the roll in the past six months, eh?

That also said, with the new single set to be out on 19 March 2020 under Warner Music Philippines, See Through isn't going to be a one-off team-up between Nicole and Brandon Blue Hamilton. This song also features the production work of tracking engineer Ira Cruz, mixing engineer Jamie Portee and mastering engineer Will Quinnell.
