Controversial Solistice

Okay, just like any other month, we were hampered by a couple of “viral” issues in social media this June. A night club rejecting “cross dressers,” the celebration of “pride” and #LoveWins, we faced another issue that seems disheartening to majority of us.

How about a festival of animal meat? And not just a piece of 'animal meat' but a 'pet' in fact.

Si Binay, si Binay at si Binay.

Halos lahat ata ng malalaking balita noong nagdaang mga araw ay ukol kay Bise Presidente Jejomar Binay.

Paano ko nasabi ang mga ito?

Upcoming: Fête de la Musique in Manila 2015

I have never been to a music event popularly known as Fête de la Musique—or in English, the World Music Day (or Make Music Day)—though it already entered my consciousness way back then. Specifically, during the high school years where the Original Pilipino Music (OPM) was name of the game in the local music scene.

Before we put my hands down on this one, what on earth is Fête de la Musique?

Tapos na ang NBA Finals. E Ano Ngayon?! (v. 2015)

06/18/2015 10:48:14 AM

Sa wakas, matapos ang apat na dekada—o ang panahon na sila Rick Barry ang matunog sa koponang ito, nagwagi muli ang Golden State Warriors ng kampeonato sa NBA.

So... pagkatapos nito, ano na?

E ano naman kung nagtapos na ang NBA Finals?

E ano naman kung nag-champion muli ang Golden State?

Signs of an NBA Finals Bandwagoner

06/17/2015 04:52:35 PM

"Best Player?!"

The fact is everyone is a “best player” at their very own right. And for a 'whining' LeBron James?

Small Ball, Big Numbers

06/16/2015 06:52:24 PM

After a standoff at 2-2, nothing goes more solid than earning a Game 5 victory, considering a lot of teams in the finals that hold a 3-2 edge won an NBA Finals series.

And just like last Sunday evening in Bay Area, Golden State owned everything – even if they lost the handling at some parts of this ball game.

Demise of a Dream

06/16/2015 10:23:09 AM
As much as I want to stray away from the trend, I just can't help it. Maybe because after all, I am still a wrestling fan.

Forget the idea that I am more aware of the scene during these recent years, and the fact that I am then-watching television shows that did not even mean more in-depth thoughts to me when I was a kid such as those old cartoons, sitcoms and WWF Superstars and Wrestling Challenge.

But the fact is, Dusty Rhodes passed away; and that's another shocking and saddening news at the Western Hemisphere, and the sports-entertainment fans around the Globe.

Major Adjustment

6/14/2015 5:46:01 PM

Game Four was the midway part of a best-of-seven playoff series; and it’s more even vital when it comes to a championship series like the National Basketball Association.

And to be frank, it was a huge turnaround for this year’s finals between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors.

Lesser of a Thriller

06/11/2015 01:49:12 PM

Okay, just a few thoughts after watching the game last night thru a local TV coverage (which I think was a downward spiral from their old norm of doing the commentary as it happens straight from

Game 3 was another shade of the previous games: The Cavaliers built the lead, only to have a thrilling finish. The difference, though, is that the rally was only made at the fourth quarter.

First Time, Same Fashion

06/10/2015 08:32 AM

Game 2 is now in the books, and for the first time in franchise history, the Cleveland Cavaliers have defeated the Golden State Warrior to earn their first ever victory in an NBA championship game.

Now what?

Champion vs. Champion (John Cena vs. Kevin Owens)

6/7/2015 11:30:29 AM

There’s nothing I can say here but… wow.

If you noticed since the time I followed professional wrestling, there is one pay-per-view I haven’t done a full review: and that is Elimination Chamber.

First Blood

6/7/2015 11:57:23 AM

Well, as per historical books, that leaves the Golden State Warriors drawing first blood to end their four-decade long title drought. And with them making a comeback from a 14-point deficit to take the first game of the NBA Championship series at their homecourt? That was a magical one.

The Pre-take: 2015 NBA Finals (Golden State Warriors vs. Cleveland Cavaliers)

So, it's that wonderful time of the year, as the old holiday jingle goes. East meets west once again, like Stephen Curry's date with LeBron James; or should we say... Golden State Warriors with a last dance — and a big one — with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
